Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified/Board Eligible Orthopaedic surgeon with Fellowship training in Sports Medicine to serve as Section Head, Ochsner Andrews Sports Medicine Insitute. The candidate would be leading a well established program including 4 Fellowship trained sports medicine surgeons, 5 Primary Care fellowship trained sports medicine physicians, 6 Advanced practice providers and the Ochsner Athletic Training Outreach program. Under the direction of the Department Chair, the Section Head serves in a strategic leadership role with oversite of assigned section. The Section Head will collaborate with leadership to drive the clinical and quality performance of the department and ensure patient safety and satisfaction, as well as provider engagement. Our institute is home to the largest athletic training program in the region, with over 60 Athletic trainers in the greater New Orleans region dedicated to serving the needs of professional, collegiate, high school, and middle school athletes. We offer a full spectrum of services, including sports therapy, nutrition, psychology, and performance training, ensuring athletes receive exceptional care and support.
