JOB REQUIREMENTS
Licenses:
Active Louisiana state medical license required
Certifications:
ATLS (required for FM-trained physicians) ACLS and PALS (required for all physicians)
Residency:
Must have completed an EM or FM residency
Experience:
If FM-trained, must have proof of ED experience within the past two years
Board Certification:
Acceptable boards include ABEM, AOBEM, or
ABFM. ABPS
boards are not accepted.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Deliver high-quality emergency medical care to a diverse patient population Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team including RNs, APPs, and specialty consultants Utilize EMR systems (Meditech, transitioning to EPIC) for patient documentation Ensure compliance with hospital policies and standards, including vaccination requirements Support the training and mentorship of clinical staff as needed
