Description Salary Range:
$171,750 – $197,509 / year The Psychiatrist will be consulted by the PCP to render an opinion and provide a brief consultation prior to returning care back to the PCP. The Psychiatrist will conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations, develop treatment plans, prescribe medication, and evaluate results. Our expectation is that this position will see new patient evaluations, and follow ups, that meet budgeted productivity expectations. This person will support CHP’s mission, vision, and values and will adhere to compliance protocols as well as CHP’s policies and procedures.
Position Requirements Psychiatric Provider Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Evaluates using a biopsychosocial model. Makes recommendations for ongoing psychosocial or medical treatment plans. Monitors and evaluates treatment results. Evaluates patients by interviewing patient, family, and other persons; conducting mental status examinations; observing behaviors; reviewing medical history and related documents; and sending a request to the PCP if laboratory tests are needed and evaluating results. Discusses progress towards goals with PCPs and patients. Maintains interdisciplinary approach through consulting and collaborating with primary care physicians, mental health therapists, nurses, and other health care providers. Assures quality and safe service for patients and staff by enforcing policies, procedures, standards, rules, and legal regulations. Maintains medical records by documenting symptoms, medications, and treatment events and completed notes and billing same day as the visit. Updates job knowledge by participating in continuing medical educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations. Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests and exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
Completion of a psychiatric residency or a family medicine/psychiatry residency in an ACGME Board certified by the American board of psychiatry and neurology Valid state medical license as MD or DO Valid DEA and MCSR certificates. 5+ years’ experience in psychiatric practice Consultation liaison experience preferred Psychiatric Provider Qualifications /
