SUMMARY Under the guidance of the Executive Director, Service Line manages the overall operations, staff and budgets of 3 to 6 clinical practice locations within a given Service Line. Participates in the design and subsequent implementation of clinical administrative operations within the designated area of responsibility. Ensures the delivery of highly integrated and patient centered care. Functions with a high degree of independence, under minimal supervision and has authority for independent decision making within scope of responsibility. Teams with the Service Line leadership, Chiefs and Clinical Nurse Manager to provide unified leadership and consistent communication to providers, nurses and staff within the region. Works closely with other region and service line management to ensure that Atrius Health practice standards are met and that patient expectations are met or exceeded. Expected to maintain a thorough understanding of the business side of the specialties supported including but not limited to strategic planning and data analytics.
EDUCATION/LICENSES/CERTIFICATIONS
Bachelor s Degree in an appropriate discipline (or equivalent education, training or experience) required. Licensure required for certain clinical positions. Master s degree (or equivalent) in business or health administration preferred.
EXPERIENCE 7-10
years of professional level experience required in the particular field of specialization or experience in a healthcare operational or business management role. Comprehensive knowledge of management and supervisory principles, practices and techniques required. At least 3 years prior supervisory experience (or functional lead) in a clinical capacity required. SKILLS Demonstrated organizational, leadership and teamwork skills. Strong organizational and problem resolution skills. Ability to implement procedures and processes efficiently. Knowledge of managing an expense budget.
