$190K – $417K a year 11 hours ago Qualifications BC/BE Plastic surgery Senior level Teaching Full Job Description The Department of Surgery at Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center seeks to recruit a full-time faculty member to join the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Candidates must be board certified/board eligible in plastic surgery. The ideal candidate will be fellowship trained and have experience in a broad range of general plastic surgery, including complex reconstruction of oncologic and traumatic deformities. Exceptional teamwork, program development, teaching and mentorship abilities are essential. The candidate is expected to integrate seamlessly into a busy practice at BIDMC Boston and develop a network of community plastic surgical care at hospitals affiliated with Beth Israel Lahey Health. A track record of academic productivity is essential as the candidate will be expected to be involved actively in the research program of the division. Responsibilities will also include teaching of medical students and surgery residents as well as clinical and/or basic research. Appointment as Instructor or Assistant Professor at Harvard Medical School will be commensurate with experience, training and achievements in addition to teaching activities. In addition, the Department of Surgery will be engaged in the newly announced and exciting clinical collaboration between Dana-Farber Cancer Institute (DFCI), BIDMC, and Harvard Medical Faculty Physicians (HMFP) to establish New England’s only free-standing adult inpatient cancer hospital. The collaboration will bring together world-class clinicians to deliver transformational, precision medicine in an environment solely dedicated to defying cancer.
