MaineHealth is seeking full - and part-time Hospitalists for permanent positions at Pen Bay Medical Center (PBMC) in Rockport, ME and Waldo County General Hospital (WCGH) in Belfast, ME.
PBMC and WCGH are both hospitals in the MaineHealth network, a 9-hospital healthcare system that includes Maine Medical Center, the largest tertiary hospital in the state. New hires will receive inpatient privileges at both PBMC and WCGH but may designate either facility as their “home” institution for the majority of their shifts.
PBMC is a 99-bed facility with a broad array of specialists available both locally and via the MaineHealth OneCall system. WCGH is a critical access hospital with fewer local specialists, but the same level of support via the MaineHealth system. Both hospitals are located along the mid-coast of Maine, an area rich with natural beauty, local agriculture, and endless outdoor recreation opportunities on land and water. Our Hospitalists consistently rate the quality of life in this area to be extremely high. It’s called Vacationland for good reasons.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
MD/DO from an accredited medical school
Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Board Certified/Board Eligible
Active and unrestricted State of Maine medical license or ability to obtain prior to employment
Current BLS and ACLS certified
