The ideal candidate should be MD/DO from an accredited medical school, board certified/eligible in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine, and have an active State of Maine medical license. Hospitalists will work alongside others, have a flexible block schedule, and receive sign-on, retention, and relocation bonuses. New hires will receive inpatient privileges at both PBMC and WCGH but may designate either facility as their “home” institution for the majority of their shifts.
PBMC is a 99-bed facility with a broad array of specialists available both locally and via the MaineHealth OneCall system.
WCGH is a critical access hospital with fewer local specialists, but the same level of support via the MaineHealth system.
Both hospitals are located along the mid-coast of Maine, an area rich with natural beauty, local agriculture, and endless outdoor recreation opportunities on land and water.
