Description:
Manager interview required. Level II trauma centerwith 411 beds. Contains 2 IR labs and a 36-bed pre/recovery area.
Will not accept first-time travelers; a minimum of 1 year of travelexperience is needed. Expected to care for inpatient and outpatientadults, including some interventional pediatrics. Will handle alllevels of acuity from diagnostic procedures to cardiogenic shock.
Patient types include general IR and neuro-vascular IR. Performdiagnostic imaging and simple to complex interventions such as nephtubes, feeding tubes, port placements and removal,permacaths/trialysis/PICC/central lines, embolization, and TIPPS.For vascular interventions, handle AFROs with or withoutintervention, fistulagrams, and carotid stenting. In the Cath Lab,perform diagnostic procedures, left heart catheterizations, rightheart catheterizations, and simple to complex PCIs. Manage casesinvolving cardiogenic shock, Impella, balloon pumps, CTOs, lasertreatments, and various thrombectomy devices. Perform structuralheart functions such as Watchman, MitraClip, and TAVR as part ofthe Cath Lab team. Familiarity with CERNER PowerChart for chartingand Merge hemodynamics preferred. Experience with Alaris IV pumpsand Pyxis systems is beneficial. Specialty equipment usage will bediscussed during the interview. Scheduling details to be discussedduring the interview. Response time for patient needs is expectedto be within 30 minutes. No sleep rooms available. Requests fortime off are subject to approval. Orientation involves 1-2 days ofgeneral hospital orientation, followed by 1-2 weeks ofunit-specific training depending on comfort level. Scrubs will beprovided.
