Job Summary:
RESPONSIBILITIES
Examine patients and evaluate medical history to determine appropriate anesthetic for patients undergoing surgical or medical procedures; request additional diagnostic tests, as necessary, to formulate appropriate anesthesiology procedures and plans; administer local, intravenous, or spinal anesthetic to patients; adjust the amount and type of anesthesia during procedures to ensure proper and safe sedation at all times; monitor patient vital signs during surgery; direct the duties of medical technicians, nurses, and other healthcare support staff; provide care for patients before, during, and immediately following surgical or medical procedures to ensure proper pain relief; and educate patients and their families on post-procedure care.
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have M.D. or D.O. or foreign degree equivalent, have completed Anesthesiology residency program, and have a valid Oregon medical license.
