JOB SUMMARY
The Pathologist is responsible for providing pathology services to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of human disease.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Produce pathology reports in a timely fashion.
Consult with other pathologists and serve as a consultant as needed.
Comply with all terms and provisions of law, and ethical standards relating to the practice of medicine.
Engage in research projects as requested.
Investigate and study trends in the developments in pathology practice and technique.
Requirements
EDUCATION & LICENSURE
Medical Degree required.
Active license to practice medicine in worked-in state required.
Certification in anatomic or clinical pathology required; subspecialties also required depending upon scope of duties.
REQUIREMENTS
Must be able to function both independently and as part of a team.
Must have the ability to perform multiple tasks in a limited time frame.
