Internal Medicine Physician Location:

Asheville, NC Outpatient primary care in the FQHC setting

Schedule:

4 Shifts of 10 hours per week No weekend or holiday work required

Typical Volume:

16 patients per day MA and RN assistance

EMR:

Epic Assess, maintain, and improve the health status of individualsin the communities served through timely access to evidence-basedacute, preventive, and chronic disease care. Serves as a role model of professionalism to all members of theinterdisciplinary health care team. Collaborates with all otherpractitioners including Physicians, APNs, PAs, Therapists,Dentists, etc., and clinical support staff to form a highperforming team. Cultivates a climate of safety, trust and compassion forpatients and colleagues. Provides medical evaluation, treatment, and consultationservices to patients of the clinic in a timely manner, includingresponding to emergencies and answering medical questions. Provides high-value cost-conscious care; demonstrates goodstewardship of resources by limiting unnecessary testing andreferrals; and considers risks, benefits, and patient preferenceswhen making diagnostic or therapeutic intervention decisions. Documents all patient care activities and bills for allservices provided in the electronic health record. Documentationmust be clear, concise, accurate, updated, and in sufficient detailto allow another provider to continue the patient’s care as well asto allow other parties to review the safety and quality of careprovided.

Background Profile:

Family / Internal Medicine Physician Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine orFamily Medicine Current or ability to acquire an unrestricted state of NorthCarolina MD or DO licensure DEA certificate required.

BLS, DEA DATA 2000

Waiver and all applicable certificationsrequired (must be obtained within 30 days of employment). Must be Medicaid & Medicare eligible. AAHIVM Certification preferred. J1 Visa Sponsorship if Necessary
