Recruitment Range:

 $163,783.00 – $248,945.00 The primary responsibility of the Psychiatrist position is to provide advanced and/or specialized treatment services to assigned patients at

JFK-ADATC.

The Psychiatrist consistently provides high quality medical services and may be frequently called upon to solve difficult medical problems and to work on special projects. Work may include providing guidance to and review of work performed by other staff physicians. In addition, the Psychiatrist provides ongoing supervision of all clinical services performed by the advanced practitioners (PMHNPs, PAs, and NPs) on their assigned unit. In the absence of the Chief Medical Officer, they may infrequently be required to fulfill the role of Acting Chief Medical Officer of

JFK-ADATC.

The Psychiatrist will practice independently, professionally and in a responsible manner.

Work Schedule:

 Monday-Friday, rotating shifts with occasional overnight or Weekend shifts. Flexible work schedules are considered and on-call coverage is required.

Work Hours:

 8:00 am – 4:30 pm

Keith Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Center (JFK ADATC), is a 68 bed inpatient treatment facility designed to meet the needs of alcohol and other drug dependent adults of the 44 westernmost counties in North Carolina. The facility treats individuals with substance use disorders and other co-occurring psychiatric diagnoses.

is accredited by the Joint Commission or Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations as a Behavioral Health facility and certified by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services as an inpatient psychiatric hospital.

Management Preferences:

Board Certification or eligibility for Board Certification in Addiction Psychiatry or Addiction Medicine preferred.
Experience working in a substance use hospital providing similar ASAM levels of care.
Graduation from an accredited medical school and completion of residency (or anticipated completion before job commencement) or specialty training in Psychiatry.
Board-eligible in Adult General Psychiatry though the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
