Barton Associates is seeking a skilled Physician Assistantspecializing in Family Practice for a locum tenens position at aclinic in North Carolina. This 240-day assignment begins on07/31/2025, with a Monday to Friday schedule from 8am to 5pm. Therole includes occasional on-call responsibilities. The idealcandidate will be proficient in geriatric intake and medicationmanagement for individuals in the PACE program across three nursingfacilities. Responsibilities include performing health histories,physical exams, patient education, ordering/interpreting lab tests,and providing comprehensive care for elderly patients. There isalso a possibility of assignment extension.

Responsibilities and Duties:

Conduct geriatric intakeassessments and manage medications for PACE program participantsPerform comprehensive health histories and physical examinationsProvide patient education and counseling Order, interpret, andfollow up on laboratory tests and results Document patient carethoroughly using PACElogic electronic health record system Initiateemergency measures as needed Recognize and respond to abnormalfindings Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimalpatient outcomes Participate in on-call rotation (1 week every 5weeks) for triage services Adhere to all clinic policies andprocedures Maintain up-to-date knowledge of geriatric and familypractice best practices

Requirements:
