Full Job Description Job Summary:
Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic team of surgeons within the Department of Surgery. This position offers the opportunity to practice in a high-acuity, academic Level I Trauma Center, providing comprehensive trauma, emergency general surgery, and critical care services.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide surgical care to trauma and critically ill patients in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment. Participate in trauma call coverage and manage acute surgical emergencies. Contribute to quality improvement initiatives, trauma registry reviews, and protocol development. Engage in teaching medical students, residents, and fellows. Participate in clinical research and academic activities, as appropriate.
Qualifications:
MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board certification or eligibility in General Surgery. Fellowship training in Surgical Critical Care and/or Trauma preferred. Eligible for medical licensure in North Carolina. Strong commitment to patient care, education, and academic excellence.
