A health system is seeking an Emergency Medicine PhysicianAssociate for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located inEastern North Carolina. This position is at a 21-bed hospital withan established team of 6 physicians and 3 nursepractitioners/physician assistants. The facility includes 18 acutecare medical-surgical beds, 2 labor and delivery/recovery beds, 1level II nursery bed, 3 operating rooms, a dedicated C-sectionroom, and a 24-hour emergency department. Specialty consultation isavailable in general surgery, orthopedics, cardiology, andtelestroke. The average total inpatient census is 20, with no ICUor critical care responsibilities. The provider will respond tocodes but does not take call. Support includes an anesthesiologist,onsite radiologist, and 24-hour lab availability. EPIC is used forEMR. BLS, ACLS, and
PALS/APLS
(American Heart Association)certifications and an active NC DEA are required.
