Appropriely orders diagnostic and therapeutic tests relive to pient’s age-specific needs and health condition. Appropriely prescribes pharmacologic and non-pharmacologic interventions th support the pient’s ability to maintain or regain their health stus. Monitors and documents the effectiveness of trement interventions, achievement of institutional quality measures and performance metrics. Inities referrals/consults to the approprie service when indiced Sets clinical care goals, short and long term, in collaborion with pient, provider(s), and family members/caregivers. Provides educion to pients and their families regarding the complex medical, social, and behavioral conditions with a focus on self-management, prevention and wellness based on the pient’s health goals and needs. Physician Assistant Basic Requirements Master’s degree in any discipline or a bachelor’s degree in any discipline with one year of experience as a Physician Assistant ~AND~ Successfully passed the PA Nional Certifying Exam (PANCE) (or are you in the process to taking the exam) ~AND~ Currently hold, or will hold, a full and unrestricted license to practice in a Ste, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United Stes or in the District of Columbia.

The PA this grade is the intermedie grade level and has had progressively increasing responsibility and experiences as indiced in the KSAs listed below. Individuals will have demonstred the ability to analyze and solve more complex medical problems than the entry level grade and can utilize their training in the successful practice of pient care and participe in team problem solving. Individuals demonstre the KSAs of PA-II intermedie level by: Two years of successful practice as a PA. OR Successful completion of a PA post-gradue residency program sponsored by VHA Office of Academic Affiliions or other postgradue residency programs accredited by

Physician Assistant-III (PA-III) Experience and Educion. PAs the PA-III grade are the full performance level and lead and organize pient care independently, practice within multi-disciplinary teams, and coordine all aspects of pient care across the health care system. They utilize advanced clinical knowledge and judgment in decision-making and evaluing outcomes. They function as experts in clinical practice and/or in areas reled to the assigned roles and responsibilities, may serve as mentors for transitioning PAs, and may provide training for health care students.
