We are actively interviewing for a Board-CertifiedCardiologist to expand cardiovascular health services for ourgrowing practice.

Responsibilities:

The Cardiologist is a dynamic and flexible individual who islicensed/board certified. This professional will play a key role inproviding direct patient care and assessments. Provides excellent cardiovascular care in an outpatientsetting. Follows level of medical care and quality for patients andmonitors care using available data and chart reviews. Management of chronic cardiovascular diseases includes orderingappropriate imaging or lab tests and recommending treatment plansas indicated by the patient’s clinical needs. Perform accurate interpretation of lab tests, EKG, andechocardiograms, arterial and venous vascular studies, exercisestress test, stress echo, nuclear stress tests. Staying up to date on the latest research into cardiovascularmedicine. Consults with and coaches primary care providers aboutmanagement of cardiovascular disease and best practices. Participates in rotating coverage for after-hours urgent phonecalls (minimal) from patients.

Required Qualifications:

Current and unrestricted medical license or willing to obtain amedical license in the state of North Carolina. Graduate of an accredited MD or DO program of an accrediteduniversity. Completion of a residency in medicine and a fellowship incardiology in ACGME approved programs. Current BC/BE in Cardiology (American Board of InternalMedicine/Cardiology). Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrate a high level of skill in interpersonalrelationships and communication with colleagues/patients. Fully engaged in the concept of “Integrated team-based care”model. Superior patient/customer service. Basic computer skills, including email and EMR. We use Athena.

Preferred Qualifications:

2 years’ experience working full-time as a cardiologist. Exceptional attention to detail. Outstanding research and analytical skills. Excellent communicator who can empathize with patients.
