Highlights of this role:
- Inpatient swing shift, 7-on/7-off | 12 PM – 10PM
- Weekends included in rotation; night rotation is rare
- 100% inpatient adult medicine
- No open ICU or procedures
- Position located at Atrium Health Mercy , just 1.3 miles from CMC Main What you’ll do:
- Perform medical history, physical examinations, routine assessments, and determine treatment plans for patients
- Document all patient encounters, observations, interventions, and actions in a timely and medically appropriate manner
- Act as a patient and family advocate for the population served
- Participate in continuous quality improvement priorities, service delivery processes, and service excellence initiatives
- Adhere to access and productivity policies and protocols to optimize patient care
- Follow care standards and protocols to deliver appropriate, cost-effective care both in-person and virtually
- Actively and regularly participate in assigned meetings and committees

- Understanding of systems-based practice and ability to effectively use healthcare resources to provide optimal care Who you are:
- Experienced APP with at least 2 years of inpatient or hospitalist experience preferred
- New grads will be considered
- Physician Assistant – Graduate from an accredited PA program required. NCCPA certification required
- Acute Care Nurse Practitioner – Master’s or Doctorate in Nursing Practice required. Must have RN license and Acute Care board certification based on population and acuity served
- Strong critical thinker with sound clinical judgment
