The Department of Emergency Medicine at Atrium Health Carolinas Medical Center and Atrium Health Levine Children’s Hospital at the Wake Forest School of Medicine in Charlotte, NC is seeking a full-time pediatric emergency physician to join our faculty. Atrium Health is now part of Advocate Health, the third largest non-profit healthcare system in the country. The candidate will become a full-time clinical faculty member with an appointment at the Assistant Professor, Associate Professor, or Professor level without tenure on a clinical or academic track. Academic rank at the time of the appointment is commensurate with the candidate’s experience and qualifications. All full-time clinical faculty in the Department of Emergency Medicine engage in teaching, resident and fellow mentorship, and service to the department and community to promote the health and well-being of children. Clinical faculty are a key part of successful research enrollment and continuous quality improvement in the department. Clinical faculty serve as physician leaders of a multidisciplinary pediatric emergency care team including certified nurses, respiratory therapists, clinical pharmacists, child life specialists, and social workers in the Children’s Emergency Department. Anticipated start date is July of 2025. The Department of Emergency Medicine’s vision is to lead and shape the future of emergency medicine. Our Children’s Emergency Department is a level I, academic, tertiary care pediatric emergency department serving just over 38,000 children per year. Clinical educators in our department mentor and teach a diverse group of learners in emergency medicine, pediatrics, pediatric emergency medicine fellowship training, medical students from the Wake Forest School of Medicine, as well as international trainees from our global health partner sites. Qualifications:

Applicants must have an MD or DO (or foreign equivalent) and must be board certified or board eligible in pediatric emergency medicine, dual certified or dual board eligible in pediatrics and emergency medicine and eligible for licensure in the state of North Carolina.
