Atrium Health’s Sanger Heart & Vascular Institute is currently seeking an experienced vascular surgeon to join our growing practice in the Greater Charlotte Region, with focus at Carolinas Medical Center (CMC). Our team includes 13 vascular surgeons throughout the greater Charlotte area. Additionally, we have a total of 26 advanced practice providers supporting the division. We have fully equipped ICAVL accredited vascular sites (n=8) with a total of 21 vascular technologists as well.

• Practice Highlights:

• CMC Cardiovascular division have access to five operating rooms which includes two hybrid rooms, as well as a dedicated state-of-the-art Cath lab for vascular surgery.

There is ongoing significant expansion at Carolinas Medical Center with the construction of a new 12-story advanced care tower. This 1.1 million-square-foot facility aims to enhance healthcare services to meet the growing needs of the region.

Patient Capacity:

The tower will house 448 patient rooms designed with adaptability for future technological advancements. +

Surgical and Procedure Areas:

It will include 38 operating rooms and 16 procedure rooms, equipped with state-of-the-art medical technology. +

Emergency Department:

A modern, pod-style emergency department with 62 exam rooms is planned to improve patient flow and reduce wait times. +

Helipad:

A new helipad will facilitate rapid transport for critical care patients.

Staff Amenities:

Each floor will feature dedicated spaces for staff health and well-being, promoting a supportive work environment Additionally, providers will have access to IRCAD North America (IRCAD NA) a premier surgical education and research center set to open in Charlotte, North Carolina, in June 2025. The center emphasizes cutting-edge technologies such as robotics, augmented and virtual reality, surgical artificial intelligence, and simulation-based education.

Main campus is a 1000-bed facility located in downtown Charlotte, NC – with very easy access to Uptown Charlotte, shopping, restaurants, and other activities, as well as several other growing suburban and urban areas to live. The Pineville location is only 8 miles from CMC, with 450 beds, a new Cath lab and located in the desirable South Charlotte region. Cabarrus is located 25 miles north and is a 650-bed hospital. Each hospital has an associated ambulatory clinic with close proximity to the hospital. This position itself is for the Southern Location.

• Qualified candidates should be:
• + Board Eligible/Board Certified in Vascular with interventional privileges. + At least five years of practice experience
