The Non-Invasive Supervisor is responsible for the development of the service line by staying updated on best practice and new technologies. They are also leaders in the professional growth and development of each team member they represent through education, training, mentoring and guidance in that professional journey.
Responsibilities Leadership:
Assists in the development of staff competency requirements. Write and help implement organizational / departmental policies and procedures. Coaches staff in developing plan to achieve personal career goals.
Provides ongoing and annual performance evaluation on assigned staff. Facilitates decision making within department. Acts with honesty and integrity with employees and customers, showing and speaking with respect for the rights of others, human dignity, diversity and Novant’s mission, vision, and values.
Makes decisions in a timely manner and with understanding of variation.
Delegates the management of processes to team members. Coordinates the provision of patient care. Utilizes best practice guidelines .
Collaborates with Interdisciplinary Teams and other stake holders to identify process and quality improvement. Demonstrates leadership skills including problem solving, delegation, time management and organizational skills and functions as a recognized leader within the organization.
Actively participates in Unit Practice and Best Practice teams. Promotes collegial relationships with physician partners and other professional groups.
Assures therapists perform skills per protocol. Provides clinical support by answering questions and helping Lead Practitioners and staff with clinical issues.
Recognizes and responds to emergency situations: fire, spills, bomb threats, disasters, and code alarm. Demonstrate excellent teamwork skills as evidenced by participation on multidisciplinary patient care committees throughout the Novant system and by facilitating teamwork among coworkers.
Participates in orientation and training of all new staff. Flexibility to provide coverage for this role 24 hours a day for emergencies and other circumstances that may arise.
Demonstrates willingness to be flexible as needed to meet the changing dynamics of the Cardiac and Vascular lab. Demonstrates the ability to remain calm and professional in stressful situations.
Thinks critically through issues and problems on the team with the use of problem solving skills. Assists in the development of Cardiac and Vascular Lab staff and provides support as needed. Qualifications Education Level Required/Preferred Description

ARRT AND
a Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist OR Registered Cardiovascular Electrophysiology Specialist (required).
OR if ARRT certified, the applicant may also be certified in Cardiac Intervention (CI) and Vascular Intervention (VI) in lieu of RCIS or RCES. If RN, graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in appropriate state (required). RCIS, RCES, CVN or CCRN certification (preferred). Required
