Position Summary The Division of Comprehensive Neurology at the UNC Department of Neurology is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Neurohospitalist to join our dynamic faculty team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to provide exceptional inpatient neurological care, engage in academic activities, and contribute to the advancement of neurological sciences through research and education.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive inpatient care to patients with a wide range of neurological conditions. Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care. Participate in the education and training of medical students, residents, and fellows. Oversee Residents and Advanced Practice Providers caring for hospitalized patients. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and departmental meetings. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school. Board certification or eligibility in Neurology. Eligible for medical licensure in the state of North Carolina. Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient-centered care. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated interest in academic medicine, including teaching and research. Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience Fellowship training in Neurohospitalist Medicine or equivalent experience. Experience in an academic medical center. Track record of scholarly activity, including publications and presentations. Experience with quality improvement initiatives.
