Position Summary Division of Cardiology, at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is recruiting for an Open Rank, Fixed-Term, Tenure or Tenure Track or Variable Track Faculty appointment as a Electrophysiologist (EP) cardiologist. The successful candidate will have proficiency in the full range of EP procedures including device implantation, ablation, and cardiac re synchronization therapy.

Responsibilities will include:

performing procedures in the EP laboratory, outpatient electrophysiology, and teaching of cardiovascular fellows and EP fellows. Attending on the inpatient service is also possible if the applicant is interested. Protected research time is available for applicants with a track record in cardiovascular research. For those seeking a larger research focus, there is the possibility of obtaining a joint appointment in the McAllister Heart Institute. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with members of the Division of Cardiology and the Department of Medicine to facilitate services and achieve organizational objectives in program development while exceeding quality and customer service standards. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. Minimum Education and Experience Requirements MD Degree Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience The successful candidate will be Board Certified in Cardiovascular Disease and Board Certified or Board Eligible in EP.
