Job Summary:

TheSystem VP of Children’s Physician Services provides strategicleadership to the Children’s service line at the system level inpartnership with the system administrative lead as part of a dyad.

The system service line leader will be responsible for: strategydevelopment and local entity strategy support, service line growthplanning, strategic coordination of MD hiring, programprioritization, technology assessment, opportunity development,coordination of system marketing efforts, market share dataassessment and new market development, assessment of local entityperformance against annual goals. This role will focus on ensuringexceptional administrative efficiency, financial performance,regulatory compliance, patient-centered processes, and continuousquality improvement across the Children’s care continuum. Thisleader ensures strict adherence to established policies andprocedures, ensuring the entity’s conduct aligns with the higheststandards dictated by applicable laws, regulations, sound businesspractices, and our Code of Conduct.

Description of Job Duties:

Children’s Physician Services Develop a long-term vision for the Children’s program thataligns the organization’s goals and objectives. Collaborate withentity clinical and operational leaders to develop this vision andanticipate and respond to evolving trends in Children’s care. Support local entities in aspects of Children’s care deliveryacross the service line, including (but not limited to) seamlesspatient flow, care models, resource utilization, and performancegoal achievement. Develop the Children’s program’s system budget, analyzefinancial performance, identify cost-saving efficiencies, andimplement revenue growth strategies. Leverage data analytics to track key performance indicators,identify areas for improvement, and implement data-driven solutionsto optimize operational efficiency, expand market share, andimprove clinical outcomes. Identify and pursue opportunities for expanding Children’sservices, including new service lines, clinical researchinitiatives, community partnerships, and strategicaffiliations. Champion the adoption of innovative technologies and processesto streamline operations, enhance patient experience, and improvedata management within the Children’s program. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability, andpatient-centered care. Oversee the physician operations of the Children’s serviceline, ensuring efficient and high-quality patient caredelivery. Develop and implement clinical programs and protocols forvarious Children’s diseases and procedures, staying current withbest practices and innovative treatment approaches. Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcareprofessionals to create a comprehensive and multidisciplinaryapproach to Children’s care. Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards andaccreditation requirements for Children’s services. Build strong relationships with our Children’s physicians,serving as trusted advisors and advocating for their needs. Develop and implement strategies to attract, retain, anddevelop top talent in Children’s. Foster a collaborative and collegial work environment withinthe Children’s department. Provide ongoing professional development opportunities for ourChildren’s physicians. Collaborate with the revenue cycle team to optimizereimbursement for Children’s services. Education:

MD with board certification in a relevant Children’s specialty.

Experience:

Requires 12 years of progressively responsible experience,including 10 years of management experience with a focus onChildren’s.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

In-depth knowledge of Children’s principles, treatmentmodalities, and best practices. Understanding of the complexities of healthcare deliverysystems, reimbursement models, and regulatory environment impactingChildren’s care. Developing and implementing strategic plans to achieve clinicaland operational goals for the Children’s service line. Communicating effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders,including physicians, nurses, patients, administrators, andboards. Making sound decisions based on clinical expertise, dataanalysis, and business acumen. Developing innovative approaches to improve the quality,efficiency, and accessibility of Children’s services.
