Manager, Anatomic Pathology Location:

eastern North Carolina $10K sign-on bonus! Relocation assistance (if applicable).

Salary range:

$111K midpoint – $130K high end. Our client is the flagship teaching hospital for a larger health system that stretches across 29 counties in eastern North Carolina. The Manager of AP will manage the daily activities in the delivery of quality patient care within the area of Anatomic Pathology. The service areas include; Histology, Cytology and Autopsy Services, and there are 30 FTE’s, which include support from a Supervisor and a Tech Specialist. Monitors current accreditation standards to ensure department compliance with all regulatory agencies (CAP, JCAHO, NCCLS, CLIA, ASHI, OSHA, and Federal Regulations). Develops, plans and audits departmental goals and budget. Monitors and serves as a resource for activities related to physical plant, data processing, and educational training of students, regional laboratories, and Departmental/Hospital committees. Maintains adequate inventories of supplies and reagents to perform testing. Assures adequate equipment is available, operational and performance monitored.

Qualifications:

Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field required. ASCP, AMT, HEW, or equivalent certification is required. 5+ years of current lab experience in Anatomic Pathology (Histology and/or Cytology) is required. 1+ year of supervisory experience in laboratory or clinical setting is required.
