Duties can include but are not limited to performing:
The Rheumatologist performs patient consultations in the hospital and outpatient settings via face-to-face, telephone, and video clinics.
Improving communication among staff, overseeing clinical privileges, and monitoring coding practices for billing.
Ensuring a quality improvement plan is in place, approving staff leave, and resolving patient complaints.
Acts as a liaison for the medicine service with outside organizations and assists with recruitment.
Participate in medical center committees and programs to improve patient care services.
Requirements
U.S.

Citizenship:

Non-citizens may only be appointed when it is impossible to recruit qualified citizens, in accordance with VA Policy.

Education:

A Doctor of Medicine degree or an equivalent degree in allopathic or osteopathic medicine is required.

Licensure:

Candidates must possess a current, complete, and unrestricted license to practice medicine in a state, territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.

Residency:

Completion of a residency program in an accredited core specialty.

Board Certification:

Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in Rheumatology.

$250,000-$400,000.

Paid Time Off:
