Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) opening inNCLocated in Clinton, NC, our hospital has served its communitysince 1950 and is now one of only a handful of independent,community-based hospitals remaining in North Carolina. Thehealthcare facility serves as an academic training center formedical students, interns, and residents. Accredited by The JointCommission, the system offers a range of medical services includingacute care, outpatient surgery, emergency and critical care, andwomen’s health and children’s services. Specialties include generalsurgery, orthopedics, obstetrics & gynecology, and urology. Thesystem provides valuable outpatient services such as physicaltherapy and diagnostic imaging in state-of-the-art centers, and anetwork of physician practices that include primary care, women’shealth, general surgery, pain management, and urgent care.
Hours -This is a full-time, exempt position. Typical working hours areMonday – Friday from 7:00am – 3:00pm. Rotating weekday and weekendon-call will be required.
Description:
The selected applicant, underthe medical supervision of a staff anesthesiologist, will beresponsible for providing anesthesia services to patients inaccordance with the hospital policies and procedures and practicewithin professional anesthesia standards and in compliance with theNursing Practice Act. Additional CRNA responsibilities includecovering OB for C-Sections, labor epidurals, and deliveries whennecessary. Also covers hospital for surgical cases, difficultintubations, difficult IV starts, arterial line placement, spinaltaps, and available as a consult, if needed.
Requirements:
Graduateof a nurse anesthesia program accredited by the AANA Council of theAccreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs or itspredecessor.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience with some experience inregional anesthesia preferredMust hold current North CarolinaNursing License and current certification or recertification fromthe AANA Council on Certification of Nurse Anesthetist.
BLS and ACLScertification required.
PALS certification and difficult airwaycourse highly recommended.
