1061729 Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible pathologist for a fulltime position with Duke Pathology’s Community Pathology Division in Mooresville, NC. This Community Pathology practice will be comprised of two fulltime and twopart time pathologists practicing at Lake Norman Hospital. Duke Health has plans for expansion of the services provided at Lake Norman Hospital and seeks physicians to join this exciting endeavor.

Opportunity:

Pathologist dedicated to delivering accurate, concise, and timely pathology services to patients and their physicians
Clinical interest in oncologic surgical pathology, specifically breast and gastrointestinal, as well as urologic pathology
Collaborate with subspecialtybased pathology faculty at the main Duke Health campus in Durham, NC
Grow the Community Pathology Division, which provides services at Lake Norman Hospital, as well as at the main campus in Durham, Duke Regional Hospital, and Duke Raleigh Hospital
Join a dynamic community of scholarship in academic medicine, engagement, and wellness within a diverse faculty and staff

Qualifications:

MD or DO degree, a valid NC medical license or qualifications to obtain one, and ABP Board Certification in Anatomic and Clinical Pathology
Excellent diagnosticians with superior communication skills who function well in a team setting
Demonstrated experience and/or additional training in areas of oncologic surgical pathology, specifically breast and gastrointestinal, urologic pathology, and/or subspecialty fellowship training in cytopathology is preferred. Duke Health Lake Norman Hospital is a 123bed acutecare, Level III trauma center with a comprehensive range of diagnostic, medical, and surgical services. The medical campus includes 24hour emergency medicine, cardiology, orthopeadics, maternalfetal medicine and women’s services, and a weight loss surgery center among its services. The campus has an outpatient imaging center and outpatient surgery center. Duke Health offers a robust compensation plan that rewards clinical productivity.
