About the clinician’s workday The schedule consists of Monday through Thursday clinic days withan optional surgery day on Friday, working standard hours from 8 AMto 5 PM. This role involves both inpatient and outpatient clinicalcare at a stand-alone clinic supported by an experiencedaudiologist and a built-in referral network. Providers typicallysee 16-18 patients per day and handle about 6 surgical cases permonth. There are no responsibilities for responding to codes,ICU/critical care duties, or serving as backup to the ER. Commonprocedures include tonsillectomies, adenoidectomies, tympanostomytubes (in-office or OR), biopsies, incision and drainage (in-officeor OR), epidermal inclusion cyst removal, septoplasty,turbinoplasty, concha bullosa treatment, tympanoplasty,microsuspension direct laryngoscopy with biopsy, and a variety ofsinus surgeries (ethmoid, sphenoid, maxillary, frontal) along withnasal antral windows, endoscopic procedures, and peritonsillarabscess management.
