Job Description
A child treatment center is seeking a psychiatrist for locum tenens coverage. The facility is located in central New Hampshire. This is an onsite-only Child & Adolescent Psychiatry position (ages 3-25) with an August or September start and ongoing availability. The role is inpatient-based, with a flexible start time between 6:00 AM and 9:00 AM for 9-hour shifts, five days a week, including daily rounds. The facility uses paper charts, and the average patient length of stay is 10 days, with a census at about 50% and up to 8 patients to round on. Candidates must be Board Certified or truly Board Eligible (within five years). Weekend call is required every 7-8 weeks. Notes are paper-based, but dictation with transcription support is available. The care team includes clinical directors, nurse managers, RNs, social workers, milieu supervisors, direct care supervisors, and education coordinators.
