Posting Summary Rutgers, the State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Physician Specialist for the Surgical Critical Care Trauma Department within New Jersey Medical School. As a full time physician specialist in the Department of Surgery, you will be expected to participate in all activities to the satisfaction of the Department Chair, and/or Division Chief. Incumbent will provide trauma surgery inpatient, outpatient, surgical and bedside patient care to all patients requiring these services. Provide call coverage to University Hospital and any other designated outside facility, as required. Among the key duties of the position are the following:
Provide surgical critical care, trauma and general surgery clinical services to University Hospital and any other designated outside facility, as required.
Perform surgical critical care, trauma and general surgery consultations and any emergency surgeries when on call.
Take trauma night call, trauma day call and round on the trauma service.
Take emergency general surgery day and night call and round on emergency general surgery service.
Provide day and night coverage for the ICU.
Educate and teach residents and fellows.
All medical records should be completed in accordance with NJMS and hospital policies.
Complete all coding and charge entry for all patient encounters within seven (7) days of the date of service; Complete medical records within seven (7) days of the date of service.

01S Salary Details A maximum of $104,000 is budgeted for this position. Minimum Salary 32111.00 Mid Range Salary 219644.00 Maximum Salary 407177.00 Offer Information The final salary offer may be determined by several factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate’s qualifications, experience, and expertise, and availability of department or grant funds to support the position. Must have excellent organization, communication, and interpersonal skills.
