Physicians Care is looking for dedicated, compassionate, andexperienced Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants to joinour dynamic healthcare team at our Northshore center inChattanooga, Tennessee. PRN shifts currently available.

The Urgent Team Family of Centersprovides quality and affordable family healthcare at more than 80locations under eight brands. Physicians Care’s convenient, walk-incenters provide a range of healthcare services including treatmentsfor injuries and illnesses, occupational health and wellness care.
The centers are open seven days a week: Monday through Friday, 8a.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Additionally,all Physicians Care centers are Accredited Care Centers – adesignation from the Urgent Care Association which recognizes thecompany’s commitment to safety, quality, and scope of services.
JOBSUMMARY
: As a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant atPhysicians Care, you will play a crucial role in providingexceptional medical care to patients of all ages with a widevariety of acute and chronic medical conditions. Workingcollaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals, you willdiagnose, treat, and educate patients while ensuring the higheststandard of care and service. Our full-time Providers work arotating 36-40 hour/week schedule, consisting of 12-hour weekdayshifts and every-other weekend. Our PRN (per diem) team members arescheduled on an as-needed basis.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Thefollowing duties and responsibilities generally reflect theexpectations of this position but are not intended to be allinclusive. Other duties may be assigned.
- Provide exemplarycustomer service to patients, visitors and coworkers.
- Provideconvenient, friendly patient care to all who come through our doorseeking health related services.
- Provide leadership, direction,and assistance during emergencies while maintaining a comfortingand reassuring affect for patients.
- Working environment subjectto varying fast paced and high stress conditions, including longand variable hours, changing locations, and continuous and frequentcontact with others.
- Performs medical assessment, treatment,management and follow up of clinic patients including, but notlimited to: primary care, urgent care, occupational health, DOTphysicals and workers compensation.
- Performs medical proceduresincluding, but not limited to: laceration repairs, nail removal,pap tests, injections, splinting and abscess incision and drainage.
- Establishes and monitors a medically appropriate level of carefor clinic patients.
- Oversees, directs and supports on sitelaboratory, x-rays, injections, and collections for direct accessservices, if applicable.
- Maintains clinical core competency.
- Works with Center Leadership and other staff to ensure operationsare consistent with medical policy and professional standards.
- Cooperates and participates in the development, implementation andrevision of policies affecting medical practice, quality of careand patient satisfaction.
- Participates in and assists within-service and continuing education programs for physicians, nursesand other personnel employed by or associated with Company.
- Recommends potential means of growth and development for new and/orexisting services within the Center.
- Assures compliance withlicensing, certification and accrediting bodies.
- Participates indevelopment and presentation of education programs for staff.
- Represents Company and the clinic as reasonably required atinternal and external meetings or events.
- Provides guidance toother medical staff (e.
g. physician assistants, nurse practitionersand medical assistants) to ensure quality professional services andpatient satisfaction
WHAT’S REQUIRED?
- Experience as a Provider ispreferred; however, new graduates are welcome to apply!
- StateLicense as an APRN or Physician Assistant
- Certification as anAPRN through the AANP, ANCC, or NCCPA
- DEA license, or willingnessto obtain upon hire
- DOT certification, or willingness to obtainupon hire
- BLS certification
