In this position with our breast care team, youwill build meaningful relationships with patients, their familymembers, healthcare providers, and office staff while providinghigh quality direct patient care in a clinic setting. You will perform the clinical breastexam (CBE) and offer educational information about breast healthand breast disease. Primary Responsibilities:
- Perform the ClinicalBreast Exam (CBE)
- Offer educational information about breasthealth and breast disease
- Review radiographic results such asmammogram, ultrasound, and when appropriate, breast MRI
- Work withthe breast care team to assist the patient with surgicalconsultation and emotional support when needed
- Help to ensurethat all patients receive the care that is needed in a timelymanner
- Review high risk scores and determine way to reduce risk
- Document treatment plans in the medical record
- Collaborate withphysician and documents physician guidance as needed
- Refer tobreast surgeon if patient requires surgery and/or review of biopsyresults
- Adopt a standard protocol outlined by the Optum breastteam for high risk screening
- Coordinate care for patients
- Exposure to patients with potential infectious disease

RequiredQualifications:
- National Nurse Practitioner certification inAdult, Family, Women’s Health or ability to obtain, or PhysicianAssistant certification
- APRN or PA-C licensure in New York, orability to obtain
- DEA or ability to obtain prior to employment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Ability to formulate a differentialdiagnosis
- Intermediate level of technical proficiency in the useof computer programs for medical records or Internet search forclinical practice
- Ability to complete clinical care lifting in aprovider office environment
- Proficient in assessment anddevelopment of treatment plans
- Ability to conceptualize the needsfor the team or department and actualize plans for implementation
- Ability to develop plans of action and gain team consensus towardscommon goals
- A background in managed care
- Familiarity withICD-9 coding The salary range for this role is $ $110,000 to$166,500 annually based on full time employment.
Salary Range isdefined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range andpay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience andmetric achievement.
