Competitive retirement package to secureyour future. Responsibilities The Orthopedic Surgery TechnologyEnhancement and Optimization (“OSTEO”) is a leading orthopedicsgroup focused on developing and implementing innovativeapplications using artificial intelligence in the clinical setting.
Data Scientists within OSTEO will have the opportunity to workwithin a vibrant group of surgeons and research personnel focusedon transforming the clinical orthopedic practice through theimplementation and creation of artificial intelligenceapplications. This position will have the opportunity to work withthe Orthopedic Surgery AI LAB (OSAIL) to implement projects withclinical impact. Data Science Analysts for this position will:
- Participate in multidisciplinary teams to design, develop,implement, and validate pioneering AI-based approaches to solvecomplex data problems in orthopedics that impact the clinicalpractice directly.
- Optimize existing AI tools for use within theDepartment of Orthopedic Surgery.
- Creation of de novo AI tools.

OPTextension program To be successful, the candidate must have:
- Experience working in the healthcare setting and a strongunderstanding of software as a medical device (SaMD).
- Mustdemonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills with theability to work collaboratively with surgeons and other healthcareprofessionals to identify and solve complex problems. Provenability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and securebuy-in across multidisciplinary teams is essential.
- Fluency inPython, or another programming language used for data science
- Astrong grasp of deep learning and machine learning fundamentals andframeworks (PyTorch, Scikit-Learn)
- Exposure to Databasetechnologies such as SQL
