Through primary care and multispecialty medical practices, the physicians and other health care professionals of NYPMG, in collaboration with ColumbiaDoctors and Weill Cornell Physicians, provide families with high quality, patient-centered care close to home in the New York metropolitan area. The NewYork-Presbyterian Queens Medical Group for Rehabilitation Medicine offers a wide range of services for patients of all ages. Our vision is to provide patient-centered, evidence-based clinical care through interdisciplinary teamwork. We are committed to impacting our patients and the community through a highly engaged, skilled, and empathetic team consisting of physical therapists, occupational therapists, and speech-language pathologists. Responsibilities (include, but are not limited to): Provide comprehensive rehabilitation care to patients in an outpatient setting. Conduct patient assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans. Administer injections, perform minor procedures, and order diagnostic tests. Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care. Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, self-care techniques, and disease management. Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with regulatory requirements. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive and collaborative work environment.
Required Criteria:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Physician Assistant related studies. Current and valid New York State Physician Assistant (PA) license. Current NCCPA certification. Current
ACLS/BLS
certification. Current New York State Infection Control certification.
Preferred Criteria:
1-2 years of experience in orthopedics or rehabilitation. Bilingual in Spanish.
Work Schedule:
This is a full-time position across four (4) offices in Queens, Monday through Friday (8am
- 4:15pm).
Ability to travel between offices is expected and required.
