Weill Cornell Medicine is conducting a national search for the leadership opportunity as Vice Chair of Gynecology. This is an exciting leadership opportunity at one of the nation’s leading academic medical centers. A dynamic and innovative leader, the Vice Chair is a member of the Executive committee for the Department of OB GYN and will work in tandem with the Chair to foster excellence in patient care and establish innovative programs. The Vice Chair is responsible for the implementation of the clinical, educational, research, quality improvement, and professional development programs within the subspecialty divisions of Minimally Invasive Gynecology (MIGS), Benign Gynecology, Family Planning, Urogynecology, Pediatric and Adolescent Gynecology and Gynecologic Oncology. This individual will also work collaboratively with institutional leaders, providing strategic leadership with administrative and fiscal responsibilities. This pivotal role is tasked with overseeing the strategic planning and execution of gynecologic clinical care both inpatient and outpatient on the Weill Cornell Medicine campus. The Vice Chair will play a crucial role in ensuring comprehensive and coordinated gynecological services across the New York-Presbyterian sphere hospitals, including Lower Manhattan, Queens, and Brooklyn Methodist. The Vice Chair will work to bridge gaps in clinical care for women within this healthcare system, fostering collaboration and integration among various gynecological specialties. This includes leading the subspecialty divisions of Minimally Invasive Gynecologic Surgery (MIGS), Urogynecology, Benign Gynecology, Family Planning, and Gynecologic Oncology, all of which will report directly to this position. The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of gynecological practice, a commitment to excellence in patient care, and the vision to lead the department towards achieving its strategic goals. The Vice Chair will be instrumental in enhancing the quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of gynecologic services, ensuring that Weill Cornell Medicine remains at the forefront of women’s health care. Candidates should possess outstanding credentials and a record of academic achievement, national engagement, and distinction as a clinician/clinician scientist, educator, and/or researcher; successful administrative leadership experience (e.g., vice chair, division chief, program director) in an academic Department of Gynecology; clinical operations and managerial experience; faculty & staff development and inclusion.
