The ideal candidate will:

• Performs initial assessmentand triage of patients based on information obtained pertinent topresenting condition.
• Keeps track of pertinent procedure andlaboratory results, discusses with physician, and returns call tofamily and patient regarding the results and plans.
• Assists witharranging appropriate follow-up for the patients.
• Answers andreturns phone calls from established patients and their familiesand assess the needs of patient and family.
• Discusses plan withthe physician and relays information to the family and patient.
• Obtains or assists in the preauthorization process for medications,diagnostic studies, and treatments.
• which the employee isqualified to perform.
• Screening patients.

The successfulPhysician Assistant must be a graduate of a ARC-approved physicianassistant program, eligible or certified by the National Commissionfor the Certification of Physician Assistants and eligible orcertified by the State Board of Medicine. The successful NursePractitioner candidate will have a certificate of completion froman approved program for Nurse Practitioners and must be eligiblefor or certified by the Pennsylvania State Board of Nursing. Mustbe certified to work with all patient population age groups.
