We are seeking a board-certified Psychiatrist for a locum tenens position in Rhode Island. This 27-day assignment at a Mental Health facility requires coverage for 2 days per week, 5 hours each day, with one day being Wednesday. The start date is 05/27/2025, with potential for extension. The psychiatrist will be responsible for supervising APRNs and DOs on staff, completing documentation, interpreting policies/procedures, and ensuring compliance with regulations. Once fully credentialed, the provider will transition to managing a clinic caseload of 30-40 patients. Job Responsibilities and Duties:

Provide psychiatric care and treatment to patients in a mental health setting Supervise APRNs and DOs on staff Complete thorough and accurate documentation Interpret and implement policies and procedures Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations Manage a clinic caseload of 30-40 patients (once fully credentialed) Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care Conduct psychiatric evaluations and develop treatment plans Prescribe and monitor medication as needed Participate in team meetings and case conferences
