This East GA Hospital in Augusta, GA is recruiting a boardcertified/board eligible Non-invasive Cardiologist with a firmknowledge and skill set in the diagnosing and treating ofcardiovascular disease. The practice will be in Aiken, SC.TheHospital is a 581-bed community facility specializing in adult careacross two campuses and with multiple cardiology clinics throughoutRichmond and Columbia Counties in the Augusta area. Due to access,we are expanding general cardiology to incorporate a 40 to 50-milefootprint in South Carolina.

The Cardiologist selected will have acomplement of an advanced practice providers, as well as a team ofnursing professionals. Mobile cardiac diagnostics will be provided.

Inpatient rounding assignment is every fifth week with on callassignment of 1:10.

Aiken, South Carolina is a beautifulmid-sized city located close to the border of Georgia and SouthCarolina and has loads of southern charm. In addition, the cost ofliving is very attractive, and there is easy driving access toseveral of the South s largest major metropolitan areas, includingAtlanta, Charlotte, and Greenville, SC.

Staffing Design:

Currentlythere are twenty-five cardiologists who support InterventionalCardiology, Structural Heart, Electrophysiology and AdvancedCongestive Heart Failure with a full complement of fourteenAdvanced Practice Providers.

Role and Responsibility:

Non-invasiveCardiology role and responsibility will be the following: Provides excellent cardiovascular care in the outpatient andinpatient settings. Management of chronic cardiovascular diseases includingordering appropriate imaging or lab tests and recommendingtreatment plans as indicated by patient s clinical needs. Able to perform accurate interpretation of lab tests, EKG,chest x-rays and echocardiograms. Coordination of care with hospitalists, primary carephysicians, cardiology colleagues and other specialty physiciansregarding day-to-day clinic operations and participates in meetingsfor risk and quality management as well as improving clinicalquality, efficiency, and patient satisfaction.

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited school of medicine Completion of a cardiac imaging fellowship with Boardcertification in Echo Expertise needed in cardiac CT and cardiac MR(MRAs)

Compensation:

Base compensation competitive with MGMAmedian.
