DESCRIPTION:
_x000D_Providedirect patient care, including but not limited to conductingcomprehensive medical and social histories of patients, performingcomprehensive and/or problem focused physical examinations, orderand/or performing laboratory and screening test in accordance withapproved protocol._x000D_Perform hospital deliveries, surgeries,rounds and rotations._x000D_Read and evaluate lab reports, x-rayresults, and consultation reports and records, relaying informationand, if necessary, treatment plans to patients._x000D_Makeindependent decisions regarding management and treatment of medicalproblems identified, formulating, initiating and monitoring patientmanagement plans based on established standards ofcare._x000D_Prescribe medications using e-prescribe and performtherapeutic or corrective measures, which may include urgentcare._x000D_Provide information, instruction and counseling onhealth maintenance, health promotion, social problems, illnessprevention, illness management and medicine use._x000D_Makeappropriate referrals to specialists._x000D_Comply with allapplicable infection control and safety procedures._x000D_Consultwith other members of the health care team asneeded._x000D_Accurately enter all patient notes into electronicmedical records system in a timely manner as determined byFHC._x000D_Supervise students during clinical rotations asassigned._x000D_Exhibit compliance with FHC’s corporate compliancepolicy._x000D_Perform job activities in ways that are respectful,courteous and responsive while interacting with patients, visitorsand co-workers._x000D_Perform other duties and assume otherresponsibilities as apparent or as delegated to you._x000D__x000D_POSITION
REQUIREMENTS
_x000D_A medical degree appropriate tothe specialty from an accredited medical college or university andsuccessful completion of intern and residency programs. Mustpossess a State of South Carolina license to practice medicine,federal DEA license and a State of South Carolina ControlledSubstance license. Must meet credentialing and privilegingrequirements of FHC.
