Primary Responsibilities:
- Engage with a team of neonatologists and NICU nurses in theevaluation of the NICU patient
- Review literature and develop evidence-based guidelines
- Participate in nursing education as it relates toneonatology
- Conduct provider telephonic review and discussion, scheduleson-site visits and shares tools, information and guidelines relatedto cost-effective health care delivery and quality of care
- Support all clinical quality initiatives and peer reviewprocesses
- Responsible for appropriate utilization management
- Clinical lead for healthcare affordability initiatives at thelocal market
- Effectively engage and bring understanding to our externalconstituents such as physicians, medical and specialty societies,hospitals and hospital associations, and state regulators
- Deliver the clinical value proposition focused on quality,affordability and service, in support of the sales and growthactivities
- Responsible for identifying opportunities throughparticipation in local medical expense committees or marketreviews
Required Qualifications:
- MD or DO with an active, unrestricted license
- Board Certified in an ABMS or AOBMS specialty-Neonatology
