Paramedic / Radiology Navigator Northern Light Radiology Associates, Inc Greenville, SC Northern Light Radiology Associates is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Paramedic to join our team as a Paramedic / Radiology Operations Navigator . Job Summary:

The Paramedic / Radiology Navigator is a multifaceted role that combines emergency medical expertise with patient advocacy and support in radiology navigation. This position requires a proactive individual who can effectively facilitate timely imaging services and ensure optimal results. The ideal candidate will be a licensed paramedic with strong communication skills and a passion for patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality emergency medical assistance, such as CPR, epi-pen, etc. Quickly and efficiently assess a patient’s condition and determine the best course of treatment Prepare patient for transport in an ambulance to a hospital Provide first aid or life support to patients who are sick or suffering from an allergic reaction. Report what they saw and did to doctors, nurses or other healthcare staff Document what kind of medical treatment was given to the patient from the moment of arriving at the scene to transferring the patient to the healthcare facility Assess patient needs and conditions, offering support and reassurance during the imaging process.

Radiology Navigation:

Collaborate with radiologists, technologists, and other staff members to coordinate patient schedules and ensure smooth workflow within the department. Monitor and manage equipment maintenance and repairs to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime. Develop and implement policies and procedures to improve operational efficiency and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. Coordinate with other departments to facilitate the timely delivery of imaging results and reports. Train and supervise staff members to ensure adherence to departmental protocols and quality standards. Act as a liaison between the radiology department and other healthcare providers to facilitate communication and collaboration.

Qualifications:

Current certification as a Paramedic (NREMT or state equivalent). Current BLS and ACLS Certification required. A minimum of 3 years experience in emergency medical services (EMS) required. Background or experience in radiology is a plus; familiarity with imaging modalities and procedures is highly desirable. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate complex information to Clinical Operations leadership, hospital leads, and physicians. Strong organizational and multitasking abilities with keen attention to detail. Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and other relevant technologies. This is an onsite position at our healthcare client’s location in Greenville, SC.
