An established and well-supported hospital in West Columbia,South Carolina is seeking a GI hospitalist or GI medical directorto lead the development of a brand-new inpatient gastroenterologyservice. This is a unique opportunity to be the first GI physicianonsite and to build a program from the ground up. The positionoffers the chance to shape clinical operations, establishprotocols, and collaborate closely with a local GI group that istransitioning away from inpatient responsibilities whilemaintaining outpatient follow-ups. The schedule is flexible, withoptions for a traditional Monday – Friday model or a potential7-on/7-off rotation as the program expands. Advanced proceduressuch as ERCP and EUS are available, but not required. This is arare leadership opportunity for a motivated physician to takeownership of a new service line while enjoying the support of alarge, high-performing hospital in a thriving community.
