Hiring Department Department of Surgery Job Description TheDepartment of Surgery is seeking a dynamic candidate to furtherexpand the Section of Thoracic Surgery in the Division ofCardiothoracic Surgery. The Division has a long history ofexcellence providing care for cancer patients at Ellis FischelCancer Center, the longest standing cancer center west of theMississippi. MU Health Care strongly supports the growth anddevelopment of general thoracic surgery in both general and cancersurgery, through sustained and significant investment inmultidisciplinary cancer care, surgical care of cancer disease ofthe chest, clinical trials, and translational research. Robustclinical, outcomes and basic science research platforms provideexcellent opportunities for academic growth.
Qualifications MinimumQualifications:
Board Certified or Board Eligible in ThoracicSurgery Candidates will be evaluated on: minimally invasive and/orrobotic thoracic surgery and clinical experience in a significantspectrum of malignant and benign non-cardiac thoracic surgery ofthe chest, mediastinum and foregut. A strong interest in medicalstudent, general surgery resident and fellowship training.
