The Department of Emergency Medicine at Vanderbilt UniversityMedical Center (VUMC) invites applications for faculty positions atall academic ranks. We seek highly skilled clinicians committed toproviding excellent patient-centered care and contributing to thedepartment s vision of becoming a world-class academic emergencydepartment centered around the needs of the patient. The idealcandidate will possess strong clinical skills, integrity, acommitment to teaching and mentorship, and collaboratively leadmultidisciplinary teams with excellence. A track record ofexcellence in education, research, or clinical operations isdesired. Key Responsibilities Provide clinical care in VUMC s emergency departments,including the adult Level I trauma center, the Nashville VA, andaffiliated hospitals. Engage in educational activities, including training andmentoring residents, fellows, and medical students in clinical andeducational settings. Participate in academic research, with opportunities to beinvolved in funded projects through the

NIH/NHLBI VISTA

T32program. Focus on hospital-based care for heart, lung, blood, andsleep disorders. Contribute to division-specific initiatives in global health,simulation, ultrasound, or EMS. Qualifications Board-eligible or board-certified in Emergency Medicine Experience or interest in academic medicine, including clinicaloperations, education, or research Expertise in global health, simulation, operations, or researchis highly desirable Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
