Overview CHI Memorial Hospital is currently seeking a full-time VascularNeurologist. This position will be integral to the operations of aworld-renowned comprehensive stroke center expert in both clinicalcare and acute stroke research. Building on one of the largest andmost organized stroke referral networks in the US, the positionoffers outstanding opportunity for a fellowship-trained vascularneurologist interested in working in a high- volume practice at theforefront of the field of vascular neurology. The position involves a 7-on/7-off schedule with work sharedbetween the acute stroke and general neurology services with heavyemphasis on both services for stroke diagnosis and secondary strokeprevention. Opportunity to be involved in stroke clinicals are alsoavailable if interested. CHI Memorial is a comprehensive stroke center with a strong neurohospitalist, neuro interventional, and neurosurgery components allunder a single highly collegial Institute of Neuroscience. Someparticipation in our telemedicine program would be expected,however no experience in telemedicine is needed. At the forefrontof acute stroke research for over 15 years, our team is looking forcandidates with a passion to combine clinical care and involvementin stroke research. Our team currently co-directs the nationalNeuroscience collaborative for CommonSpirit, our parent company,the second largest health care system in the country. Withtremendous support from our hospital administration and tightcollaboration with our partners including Baylor St Luke’s inHouston and the Barrow Neurological Institute in Phoenix, ourprogram is focused on adoption of protocols and technology drivingto the very best patient outcomes. With strong academicaffiliation, ample opportunities for involvement in teaching and/orresearch on a local, regional, or national level exist forinterested candidates. Opportunity Candidates must be board-eligible, or board-certified inneurology with a fellowship in vascular neurology. The position would be supported by a large team of clinicianswith expertise in stroke neurology, neuroimaging, neurocriticalcare, neurointervention, neurosurgery and outpatientneurology. Exceptional clinical research support is available through theChattanooga Center for Neurologic Research, a world leader in theexecution of acute stroke research including artificialintelligence, device, stem cell and other pharma clinical trials.

Funding support for research is also available through theNeuroscience Innovation Foundation, a private Chattanooga-basednon-profit.
