CST Instrument/Implant Liaison – UTMC 3.0 3.0 out of 5 stars 260 Fort Sanders West Boulevard, Knoxville, TN 37922 Knoxville Orthopaedic Clinic is seeking a Ortho Certified Surgical Technician serving as an Instrument and Implant Liaison for a full time opportunity to support the Orthopedic Surgical Service located at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. The CST Instrument/Implant Liaison will be responsible for serving as a subject-matter expert on behalf of orthopedic surgery, support service line intraoperative resource needs, and function as a liaison between the Sterile Processing Department and the ortho service. The job entails collaboration between SPD, Vendors, Orthopedic Surgery Leadership, and working in conjunction with the surgeons to ensure surgical case preparations are managed effectively. The ideal candidate must be knowledgeable of
FDA, OSHA, JOINT
COMMISSION, AAMI/ANSI, and
AST/AORN
standards, as well as be able to uphold IFUs. Additionally, the candidate must have 6-8 years of orthopedic surgery experience as a CST with and in depth knowledge of vendor systems, level one trauma procedures, knowledge of sterile processing parameters, and the preparatory work necessary to support surgical operations. CST call, as well as holiday coverage is required. We are looking for someone who is flexible in availability and open-mindedness; however, advocates for structure and process. This person will support and work in collaboration with the Ortho Surgery Team Lead

to accomplish service line tasks that require extensive knowledge and advocaction.
