Hematologist/Oncologist Location:
Knoxville, TN Comprehensive patient support programs, includingdisease-specific nurse navigators, genetic counseling, clinicalresearch, cancer outreach services, regional housing for patients,and nutrition and social services. 4 day work week Disease-focused tumor boards and multidisciplinaryclinics. Backed by a referral network of over 300 employedproviders. Hospitalists handle patient admissions regularly. Oncology pharmacists who are residency-trained andboard-certified. Accredited by the ACOS Commission on Cancer. Assess, maintain, and improve the health status of individualsin the communities served through timely access to evidence-basedacute, preventive, and chronic disease care. Serves as a role model of professionalism to all members of theinterdisciplinary health care team. Collaborates with all otherpractitioners and clinical support staff to form a high performingteam. Provides high-value care; demonstrates good stewardship ofresources by limiting unnecessary testing and referrals; andconsiders risks, benefits, and patient preferences when makingdiagnostic or therapeutic intervention decisions. Documents all patient care activities and services provided inthe electronic health record. Documentation must be clear, concise,accurate, updated, and in sufficient detail to allow anotherprovider to continue the patient’s care as well as to allow otherparties to review the safety and quality of care provided.
