The role of the board-certified rehabilitation and physicalmedicine specialist is key in the growth and quality of care apatient receives while in post-acute rehab and long-term care. You will work collaboratively with the primary care physician,advanced practice clinician (APC), behavioral healthcarespecialist, and therapy team to enhance a patient’s stay by settingrealistic goals to help patients return to their prior level offunction and get back to living their best quality of life. The position is Monday-Friday with call coverage every 3rdweekend of the month Below is a list of some of the medical services ourphysiatrists provide: Treatment for spasticity or pain that limits function Prescribe adaptive devices for safety Reduce opioid use using alternative medication andmodalities Educate staff on all aspects of the rehabilitation process On-site joint and trigger point injections
