Description Core Faculty Position in Medical Education AlbanyMedical College/Albany Medical Center Family Medicine ResidencyProgram – Albany, NY The Department of Family & Community Medicineat Albany Medical College is seeking a BC/BE Family MedicinePhysician to join its faculty in an academic primary care practice,with a focus on resident and medical student education. Thesuccessful candidate will become part of an established communitypractice in beautiful upstate New York, based at Albany FamilyMedicine (Community Care Physicians). This position offers a widerange of clinical opportunities with privileges at both academicand community teaching hospitals. Clinical and EducationalExpertise. Our current faculty’s clinical expertise includes areassuch as ambulatory primary care, geriatrics, sports medicine,outpatient procedures, inpatient medicine, osteopathic manipulativemedicine, newborn care, gender-affirming care, opioid use disordertreatment, women’s health (with or without obstetrics), abortioncare, and point-of-care ultrasound. As part of ourinterdisciplinary team, you will work alongside residents,pharmacists, and integrated behavioral health professionals.
Education is a cornerstone of our department’s mission, withfaculty roles spanning both undergraduate and graduate medicaleducation. Our 6-6-6 residency program holds ACGME accreditationwith osteopathic recognition, and we are offering excitingopportunities in medical education. We specifically have roles inthe Core Faculty with medical education responsibilities at therank of Assistant Professor or higher (rank commensurate withexperience) at Albany Medical College. In this position, you willmentor and teach across the spectrum of learners, from medicalstudents to residents and fellows. The ideal candidate will be acompassionate family physician with a strong passion for medicaleducation and be eager to engage in curriculum development,clinical instruction, and scholarly activities.
